Every now and then you hear one of your favourite songs and think...

“I’d really love to be able to play that.”

Maybe you imagine hanging out with family or friends, playing songs everyone knows. You tell yourself you’ll start when life settles down. Then something else takes priority, and before you know it, another year has gone by.

Jonny Dosé Melodic Improv in Am

I’d love to meet you and help you with your guitar playing! Here’s what your intro lesson will look like:

We’ll start by talking about what you would love to be able to play on guitar and what your goal is.

Whether you’re picking up a guitar for the first time or you’ve been playing for years, we’ll work on something that matters to you right now.

Then, If you’ve been struggling with something , we’ll work on it together and get you the break-through you have been looking in your guitar playing!

If you’re just starting, we’ll help you begin something you’ve always wanted to play.

DOES THIS SOUND FAMILIAR?

A graphic icon representing a switch or button with a black rectangle on a yellow circular background, encased in a location pin shape.

Maybe you’ve always wanted to learn, but never quite started.

And if you’re honest, being busy may only be part of the reason.

“What if I’m too old?”

“What if I’m simply not good at it?”

Those are real concerns, and many adults talk themselves out of starting for exactly these reasons.

But whether you succeed has far more to do with how you are taught, than with your age or your natural ability.

Maybe you started, got stuck, and put the guitar aside.

You learned a couple of basic chords and felt pretty good, but then hit a riff or transition that just wouldn't click. You tried random YouTube tutorials hoping for a quick fix, got frustrated, and the guitar ended up back in its case for months.

“What if I try again and just get stuck again?”

You didn't fail or run out of talent—you just ran out of a clear path forward. Learning from scattered online videos usually leads right into a dead end.

Maybe you’ve taught yourself for years, but you know there are gaps.

You can play, but there are still songs and techniques that feel out of reach. After enough time, it’s easy to start wondering,

“Maybe this is just as good as I’m ever going to get.”

I know that feeling because I have been there myself.

I spent years trying to fix problems in my own playing. I tried all sorts of different things, but nothing seemed to make much difference. It was frustrating.

My guitar playing only started to change when someone who knew what they were looking for spotted the real issues, showed me what I needed to change, and trained me how to do it.

It completely changed the way I think about learning guitar.

WHY SO MANY PEOPLE GET STUCK

One of the biggest misconceptions about learning guitar is that if you watch enough videos, collect enough information and practise for long enough, everything will eventually click.

But for most people, that’s not the case. Not because they lack ability, but because no video can watch them play and tell them:

What is really holding them back.

More tutorials just give you more random stuff to try. They don’t give you actual feedback.

THERE’S A WAY BETTER WAY!

What you really need is someone who can quickly spot what’s really causing the problems with your playing, explain it in a way that makes sense, and show you exactly how to improve.

With the right guidance, you stop trying to figure everything out on your own and start building the skills that help you play the music you’ve always wanted to play.

Your chord changes become smoother. Your rhythm becomes steadier. Songs that once felt out of reach start coming together.

And instead of wondering whether you will ever get there, you finally see yourself making progress.

WHY THE RIGHT TEACHER MATTERS?

Just because someone can play guitar well doesn’t automatically mean they’re an excellent teacher. Playing and teaching are two entirely different skill sets!

A skilled teacher doesn’t only listen for the right notes. They look for the things that are quietly getting in the way of your progress, without you even realising it.

But identifying the problem is only the beginning.

My goal as a teacher is to help you understand what’s holding you back, show you the most effective way forward, and train you until those improvements become part of the way you naturally play.

Ready To Take The First Step?

You don’t have to decide today whether you’re going to become an accomplished guitar player.

You only need to decide if you’re willing to spend an hour discovering what a difference the right guidance could make.
